Tera’s Island of Dawn
Tera begins with shipwrecks, demons, and the exploration of unknown unknown terrain, all of which should be familiar to genre fans. What’ll be a little different is the fighting. You can dodge, jump and combo much like in action games, a refreshingly different take on combat that could be a good alternative if you’re tired of the World of Warcraft / Star Wars: The Old Republic style.
With less than two weeks until Tera launches on May 1, Bluehole and En Masse distributed a new trailer for the Island of Dawn, a tutorial zone that will teach you the basics of the game’s fast-paced combat system.
If you didn’t check out Tera in its closed beta testing phase, an open beta weekend will start up on Friday April 20 and run through April 23, where you’ll be able to level characters up to 32. If you pre-ordered Tera, your character won’t be wiped in advance of the May 1 launch date, and you’ll also get to start playing for real a few days early, April 28, as part of the Head Start program.
Based on what we’ve played so far the game seems pretty good, which you can read more about in the selection of stories highlighted below.
