I know I’m late on this, but this really ticked me off, I was going through Warrior Glyphs and I came upon the glyph for Torrent of Blows, the Glyph directly says stuns target for four seconds. After buying glyph and using it, the skill then changed the tooltip for immobilize target for four seconds, which as I made sure already in-game is not the same as a stun, I’m not entirely sure either if the immobilize even worked on mobs, mostly cause they can still use skills that move them, and range, but I guess it’s a PVP thing. Regardless I wouldn’t have bought the glyph if it said “root” the target or even immobilize, instead of stun target for 4s.
I don’t know how others feel on the subject, but I was bored out of my skull with Tera until I got to fight my first basilisk.
I suggest adding BAMs or mini-BAMs to the IoD, ideally somewhere off to the side where players can watch other players fight them so, even if THEY don’t want to fight them, they can see what’s coming down the road.
Karascha dies far too quickly to be a true BAM. We need to show people sooner than level 20 why Tera is going to knock their socks off.
I agree. I remember when my friend and I first went to fight Karascha, we were all, “This is gonna be crazy!”. And then we downed him in less than 3-5minutes (if that). Our response immediately after, at the same time, was, “I thought that was gonna be a lot harder than it turned out to be.”, lol.
A good BAM on IoD would be a nice appetite suppressant until we get to really dive in and kick some serious
Excellent suggestion OP. Every time I see a thread about making the isle of dawn less boring I try to support the ideas. I have seen so many people with your view of the game not really having a drawn until you fight your first bam.
Adding a few bams to isle of dawn would be a great idea to get people hooked earlier. It would not even need to be a new model, just stick any ole bam in, scale its size, and reduce its stats. Hell they could even make it non-aggressive like the rest of the isles mobs if they REALLY think that is necessary.
If enmasse has the ability and resources to make this change it would be a great boon towards building a larger player base. As it is I can see people trying out the open beta, getting bored before 18 calling it a korean grind and moving on.
when we encounter Basilisks, and our first real Dungeon run.
